Dining services expand on Ole Miss campus

OXFORD — The University of Mississippi is expanding campus dining options to match its enrollment growth.

The Oxford Eagle reports that Ole Miss is adding some mobile locations, including a Subway.

The coffee shop in the J.D. Williams Library was also under construction this summer to make way for a larger seating area and to be turned into a full-scale Starbucks.

The Johnson Commons Dining Hall also received enhancements to the dining facility to better service the growing population on campus.

During the fiscal year 2011, the university experienced a 20 percent growth in the freshmen class and an increase of the overall student body of 7 percent. That means that during peak dining hours, long lines make it difficult for many students to have access to food.
