Disbarment sought for DeLaughter

The Mississippi Supreme Court has been asked to disbar convicted former Hinds County Circuit Judge Bobby DeLaughter.
The Mississippi State Bar filed the request with the court on Monday.
DeLaughter has been sentenced to 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to obstruction of justice. He admitted lying to an FBI agent during a judicial corruption investigation.
DeLaughter resigned as a judge when he pleaded guilty. He must report to prison by Jan. 4.
