TUPELO – Michael Stafford, the Shannon soldier injured by a roadside bomb in Iraq, will be one of six soldiers featured in a Discovery Health Channel television show on Sunday.
Stafford, a soldier with the 155th Brigade Combat Team, lost his leg when a roadside bomb exploded beside his Humvee in August. Stafford returned home in early October to a hero's welcome as more than 100 people greeted his arriving flight.
The Discovery Health Channel show “Iraq Front-Line ER” will include footage from Stafford's amputation and recovery as well as his return to Mississippi last month.
The channel can be found on Comcast cable channel 20 in Tupelo and on DirectTV channel 879. The show will air Sunday at 8 and 11 p.m.
