SENATOBIA — DNA samples from the son of a man missing for 15 years helped Tate County authorities confirm the identity of remains found under a house earlier this month.

Sixty-two-year-old Charlie T. Williams was reported missing in August 1995 from his home in the Senatobia Lakes Community.

On Feb. 2, a construction crew remodeling Williams’ home unearthed human bones under the house.

Tate County Sheriff Brad Lance tells The Commercial Appeal on Tuesday they have sent the remains to an anthropologist to determine the cause of death.
