TUPELO — Showing of the movie “My Dog Skip,” part of the “Tupelo Reads” program, has been moved from Fairpark to the Lyric Theatre tonight because of the likelihood of rain. The time is still 7:30 p.m. and admission is still free.
The student art show at the Gumtree Art Museum will proceed as scheduled at 6:30 p.m.
The activities focus on Mississippi author Willie Morris’ book, which inspired the movie. “My Dog Skip” was the book chosen by the “Tupelo Reads” committee as this year’s shared community experience. Former Gov. William Winter will conclude the events Wednesday with an address about the book and Morris at the Lee County Library at 11:30 a.m.
