TUPELO – Donations are being accepted by the Committee of 200, a new citizens group dedicated to investing money to expand and improve early childhood education in Tupelo.
The initial goal is to raise $200,000 for pre-K scholarships so that Tupelo’s Early Childhood Education Center can maintain its enrollment of 220 students despite funding cuts.
To donate to the Early Childhood Education fund or to learn more about the group, contact the CREATE Foundation at (662) 844-8989; Journal Inc. CEO Billy Crews at (662) 678-1504; or Dr. Harry Rayburn at (662) 840-0066.
