Double homicide investigation in Marshall County

news_crime_greenHOLLY SPRINGS (AP) – Investigators are looking for whoever shot and killed two men whose bodies were left in an abandoned SUV.

Maj. Kelly McMillen with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department tells WMC-TV in Memphis the assailant apparently tried to burn the remains of the individuals inside the vehicle. He says the flames didn’t spread far inside the car before burning out.

McMillen identifies the victims as Galicia Mansilla Edwin Estuardo of Greenbrier, Tennessee, and Erian Conejochavez of Springfield, Tennessee. He says the bodies were found Saturday in rural Marshall County. No arrests have been made.

McMillen says a homeowner found the bodies around 10 a.m. on a patch of grass off Smith Grove Road near Holly Springs.

He says both men had multiple gunshot wounds.
