Downtown Tupelo has busy 2012 calendar

TUPELO – The Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association has plans for a busy year. The downtown district will have at least one event every month for the rest of the year.
The Don’t Be Cruel BBQ Duel kicks things off Friday and Saturday. The event is a fundraiser for the Link Centre and will be held in Fairpark behind City Hall.
Other events for the rest of the year:
• First Thursdays: Participating merchants are open to 7 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month.
• Spring cleanup day, 4-6 p.m. March 22, downtown
• “Tuna Does Vegas”: March 22-24, Lyric Theatre
• Spring open house: 1-5 p.m. March 25, downtown
• Tupelo cash mob: 2 p.m., March 25, downtown
• “Eric Church: Blood, Sweet & Beers Tour”: April 12, BancorpSouth Arena
