Driver’s license station to move back to Coley

TUPELO – Anyone whose driver’s license is set to expire between Feb. 22 and March 1 is encouraged to go ahead and renew it.
Tupelo’s driver’s license station on Daybrite Drive in Tupelo is moving back to Coley Road.
The transition will take place the week of Feb. 25 and the driver’s license station will be closed.
Warren Strain, public affairs director for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, said a license can be renewed before it is set to expire.
“A lot of people don’t realize, say my birthday is coming up on Feb. 27, I can go six months early but still have the full four years from my birthday until the license expires again,” Strain said. “If your renewal falls (the week of Feb. 25), go on over there right away.”
If all the information on a license is up-to-date, it can be renewed online at www.dps.state.ms.us.
Tupelo’s drivers license station moved from Coley Road to Daybrite Drive around the same time in 2011.
The address of the new location is 489 Coley Road, Suite B-1, in the Mississippi Building at the Tupelo Furniture Market. The new location should be open March 4.
