TUPELO – Several Northeast Mississippians have been charged in connection with an alleged major marijuana and cocaine operation.
The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and the federal Drug Enforcement Agency made 24 arrests Tuesday across Mississippi, seizing cocaine, marijuana, prescription narcotics, cash, guns and vehicles.
Charges range from simple possession to conspiracy to distribute cocaine and marijuana to a felon possessing a firearm, as well as federal charges.
The Northeast Mississippians arrested were Tomisha Latrice Ford, 27; Cory Allen Shelton, 32; Linda B. Montgomery, 49; L.C. Ewing, 34; and Shalise Ewing, 30, all of Tupelo; Roy Dale Ross, 29, and Staci Wakia Moore, 28, both of Shannon; Terry Ewing, 31, Ronnie Bennett, 35, and Undrake Lane, 32, all of West Point; and Derick Patrick, 35, of Houston.
The investigation is ongoing.
