Jennifer Hudson, a senior at East Union Attendance Center, recently won the Gold Key Award for her digital photography work at the MidSouth Regional Scholastic Arts Show at the Brooks Museum of Art in Memphis.

Her work, “Ghost of Me,” was chosen from more than 3,000 entries from nearly 70 schools across Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi. The Gold Key is the competition’s top award.

Her work will be hung in the museum and compete in the national contest in New York. Those winners will have their work hung in the Cochran Gallery in Washington, D.C.

Hudson is the daughter of Robert and Sharon Hudson of Blue Springs. Her art teacher is Lesa Allen.

Hudson said she plans to attend Mississippi State University this fall.
