Emma, left, is a 4-year-old long-haired tortoise-furred cat. She was found caught in a trap in east Tupelo and has sat at the shelter for two weeks with no one to claim her. It’s too bad, because she is a very gentle cat who loves belly rubs and cuddles. If you’d like to give sweet Emma a home, her adoption number is 052830B. Teddy, right, is a 3-month-old Australian Shepherd-Lab mix who LOVES to get out of his cage and romp. And why not? A cramped cage is no place for a growing puppy with lots of energy and lickity kisses. Teddy loves children and other dogs and would make an excellent family pet. His adoption number is 050403B. If you’d like to provide a Emma or Teddy with a good home and lots of love, call Tupelo-Lee Humane Society at (662) 841-6500 or stop by 2400 S. Gloster St. Shelter hours are 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays, closed Sundays. Adoption fees are $75 for dogs and puppies, and $45 for cats and kittens. This includes one round of shots, worming and spaying/neutering. All animals must be spayed or neutered before leaving the shelter. Please bring to the shelter the newspaper photo of the animal you wish to adopt.
