Enforcement sting nets 45 arrests, 208 citations

NEW ALBANY – More than 200 traffic tickets were written and 45 arrests made in Union CountyThursday night as a part of a multi-jurisdictional enforcement effort.

Officers from the Mississippi Highway Patrol, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, US Marshals Service, Union County Sheriff’s Office and New Albany Police Department worked together to serve felony warrants and conduct safety checkpoints over a six-hour period.

The sting netted 11 felony arrests, 15 DUI arrests, 19 other arrests and 208 traffic citations.
