The MSU-Itawamba Extension Service will hold a Quick Bite meeting at noon Thursday, April 2. The topic will be amp”All About Tomatoes.amp” Dr. Rick Synder, vegetable specialist with the MSU Extension Service, will present this interactive video. Bring your lunch to the meeting at the extension office. Call 862-3201 for more information.
First Tuesday Lunch and Learn will be held at noon Tuesday, April 6. The topic will be amp”Morrell Mushrooms.amp” Susan Campbell will present the program which will be held at the Itawamba Pratt Memorial Library. Please bring your lunch and a drink will be provided. Pilot Club plans
The Pilot Club of Fulton Relay for Life team is planning a huge yard sale/bake sale for Saturday, April 4, 2009. The event will begin at 7 a.m. and continue until.
It will be held at the Clothes Clinic across from the Methodist Church in Fulton.
It’s a Spring Gardening Thing
The Spring Gardening Thing will be held at the Wal-Mart garden center on Wednesday, April 8, 2009, beginning at 11 a.m. Spring gardening tips will be offered by the pros.
At 11 a.m., Dr. David Nagel will discuss growing veggies and tomatoes. At 11:30, Tim Needham will discuss basic pruning. At 12 noon, Dr. Crofton Sloan will discuss fruit trees. At 12:30, Dr. Lelia Kelly will discuss how to select and grow herbs for Mississippi gardens. The final speaker will be Charles Wood who will discuss a brief history of gardening at 1 p.m.
