CORINTH – A Saturday afternoon accident in which a Walnut woman died from injuries after the vehicle in which she was a passenger was stuck on U.S. Highway 72 at Salem Road remains under investigation.
Theresa Lahey, 44, was pronounced dead at Magnolia Regional Health Center about 5 p.m., said Alcorn County Coroner Jay Jones.
Three other family members suffered injuries, Jones said, when the white Chevrolet Impala in which they were riding was struck. The three also were transported to MRHC, Jones said, but their injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The accident, which involved two other vehicles, remains under investigation by the Corinth Police Department. No further information about the accident was available.
