GREENVILLE — Greenville officials are awaiting autopsy results to aid in the investigation of a fire in which a mother and her two of her children died.
Fire Department Investigator Quincy Newson tells the Delta Democrat Times that he also is waiting to talk with the state fire marshal’s office about the blaze.
Newson says those killed in Thursday’s fire were 31-year-old Wondra Davis and her daughters 2-year-old LaLona and 3-year-old Felicia. Another daughter had left the house before the fire was reported.
Newson says the house was gutted by the fire. He says the house had iron gates on the windows and doors.
Newson says the three bodies were found near a side door.
