PONTOTOC – Pontotoc’s board of supervisors will accept the keys to 12 new fire trucks at noon Tuesday in front of the county courthouse.
The trucks from Pro-Fire Inc. will be lined up for inspection by residnets, and state and local dignitaries will be on hand.
Pontotoc County Board of Supervisors President Wayne Stokes said the trucks were inspected last week. Radio equipment will be installed in the days after the special ceremony, but Stokes said he expects the trucks to be in service before the end of the month.
The following fire departments will receive the 12 trucks: Algoma, Beckham, Ecru, Furrs, Hurricane, Longview, Pontotoc, Randolph, Sherman, Thaxton, Toccopola and Troy-Woodland.
