CORINTH – Former Alcorn County principal Dan Burcham last week was stripped of his educator’s license in Mississippi.
The Mississippi Department of Education’s Commission on Teacher and Administrator Education, Certification and Licensure and Development voted unanimously to revoke Burcham’s license following a hearing held Sept. 5, according to a formal commission order.
Burcham was fired from his position as principal of Alcorn Central Middle School in March after complaints surfaced, an investigation held and a closed hearing on the issues was conducted by the county school board.
The order references “clear and convincing” evidence that Burcham
