OXFORD – Two former caregivers at an Oxford care facility have been charged with crimes against vulnerable adults, Attorney General Jim Hood said Thursday.
Maggie Warren, 40, of Bruce and Zeporia Jones, 24, of Oxford turned themselves in Thursday at the Lafayette County Jail.
Both are former direct care workers at Oxford’s North Mississippi Regional Center, an intermediate care facility for the intellectually disabled.
They are charged, in unrelated cases, with misdemeanor abuse of a vulnerable adult for allegedly hitting intellectually disabled patients at NMRC.
Both are scheduled to appear in Justice Court on June 29.
