Former clerk pleads guilty to embezzlement charge

BURNSVILLE – A former Burnsville town clerk has pleaded guilty to embezzlement charges and must repay $62,893.
Elesha Dailey pleaded guilty in Tishomingo County Circuit Court to seven counts of embezzlement between January 2004 and January 2007, reported the Tishomingo County News.
Sentencing is set for May, but an assistant district attorney said Dailey will repay $62,893 in stolen funds, a $1,000 fine and state auditor investigative costs, according to the report.
