Former MSU professor pleads not guilty

ABERDEEN – Former MSU professor David Parham, 67, entered a plea of not guilty for the 2007 murder of his wife, Joyce B. Parvin of Aberdeen, October 26 in Monroe County Circuit Court.
Joyce was found dead sitting at a computer at her home at 50050 Deer Road in 2007. According to official reports, Parvin called 911 to report that his wife had been shot.
Parvin was indicted for murder August 19 by the Monroe County Grand Jury after being arrested in Starkville. He remains out of jail on a $75,000 bond.
Should he decide to change his plea, Parvin will next be able to do so on February 8, 2010.
