Former teacher faces meth charges at trial

ABERDEEN – Former Tupelo school teacher Teresa Dill Johnson is scheduled for trial Nov. 16 in Monroe County Circuit Court.
Johnson, 46, of Amory is charged with possession of precursors with intent to manufacture and possession of crystal methamphetamine. She was a teacher at Parkway Elementary in Tupelo but was on leave at the time of her arrest.
Johnson and Michael Lee Soden, 28, of Amory were arrested Jan. 23 by Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies after a traffic stop led them to Dill’s home.
Three “shake and bake” meth labs and several grams of crystal meth allegedly were found there.
Johnson, a native of Smithville, also taught in the Aberdeen School District before working in Tupelo.
Soden will go on trial the same day.
