Forum to tackle energy, economic development

OXFORD – Tennessee Valley Authority Chief Executive Officer Bill Johnson and three Northeast Mississippi energy and development specialists will discuss “The Future of Energy and Economic Development in the Region” at the University of Mississippi’s Overby Center for Southern Journalism and Politics at 5:30 p.m. today.

Others on the panel are David Copenhaver of Tupelo, retired vice president of administration for Toyota Motor Manufacturing Mississippi; J.R. (Josh) Gladden, associate professor of physics and director of the National Center for Physical Acoustics at Ole Miss; and David Rumbarger, president and CEO of the Community Development Foundation.

The program is free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception. Free parking will be available after 5 p.m.
