Four-star running back Kailo Moore commits to Ole Miss

Four-star running back Kailo Moore has given a verbal commitment for third time, for the second time to Ole Miss.

Moore says he likes Ole Miss because – among other reasons — he has a chance to compete for championships.

He was originally a verbal commit for Houston Nutt but backed off Ole Miss when Nutt was fired and committed to Mississippi State.

“It’s real big with them being on the rise for me. I think they have a chance to win the SEC and the national championship, and I could stay home and do it for my state. I saw how they were competing against the top teams in the country and they were just coming up a few plays short in the fourth quarter,” he said.

Ole Miss fans are hoping Moore, the West Bolivar star, begins a recruiting domino effect, and he very well might.

Moore says he’s spoken with safety Tony Conner and wide receiver Laquon Treadwell, and it looks good for the Rebels there as well as with other prospects.

“I know with the class they’re bringing in with players like me and Antonio Conner, Robert Nkemdiche and Laquon Treadwell, it’s just going to be a team to be dealt with over the next four to five years. I feel like I can do something special at Ole Miss. We all do.” ranks Moore as the nation’s No. 16 running back. He chose Ole Miss over offers from Vanderbilt, Southern Miss and Memphis while gaining interest from Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and others.

He is the fourth running back committed in the class.
