Four weekend arrests made in separate cases

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department Investigative Unit made four arrests over the weekend.

Arrested Friday were Phil O’Neal Barker, 47, of Aberdeen, and Quinton Alex Johnson, 29, of Prairie. Barker is charged with accessory after the fact, while Johnson is charged with grand larceny.

The arrests came as a result of an ongoing investigation into a theft from a local business where 10 deer cameras were stolen in February. All property has been recovered.

No bond has been set at this time, and both subjects are currently being held at Monroe County Detention Center.

In a separate case, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Unit on Saturday arrested Nicholas J. Daniel, 30, and Franklin J. Robertson, Jr., 31, both of Tupelo. Both subjects are charged with possession of marijuana with intent and possession of crack cocaine.

The arrest came as the result of a traffic stop on Highway 45 Alternate in Monroe County. Both subjects are currently being held at Monroe County Detention Center, and no bond has been set at this time
