Fulton has a new chief of police.
Reggie Johnson was named as the city’s new police chief Tuesday night, during the Fulton Board of Aldermen’s regular meeting. He replaces former chief Ray Barrett, who retired in December.
Johnson has been a member of the Fulton police department since 1992.
According to Fulton Mayor Paul Walker, the city interviewed a total of five applicants for the position, but Johnson’s familiarity with both the department and the people of Fulton made him the best choice.
