Fulton board ponders proposed park plans

FULTON – Officials are mulling over recently revealed plans for a new park in the downtown area.

The proposed plans feature covered benches, sidewalks leading to the post office and downtown area and a variety of plants, trees and flowers. At the heart of the park is a large clock.

Landscape Services of Tupelo designed the proposed layout of the park, located in the recently cleared lot at the intersection of Main and Clifton streets, next to the post office. The new park complements the Playgarden Park.

Fulton Community Volunteers is handling most of the project’s legwork.
