A Fulton woman was injured in a mid-morning wreck, Tuesday.
Sherry Pomeroy was hospitalized at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after sustaining injuries in a single-vehicle accident on John Rankin Highway. The extent of her injuries are not known at this time, although she was conscious and speaking at the scene of the accident.
According to an eyewitness account, Pomeroy was traveling north on John Ranking Highway at around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning when she lost control of her Ford pickup in a curve in the road. The truck left the road, traveled up an embankment and crashed into a copse of trees several hundred feet away. She was wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident.
No other injuries were reported.
