n AMORY – First United Methodist Church’s Sunday morning traditional worship on Channel 11 at 11 a.m. Sundays, 7 p.m. Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays and at 8 p.m. on Wednesdays. Sunday evening worship is replayed at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays.
Mission Mississippi
holds prayer meetings
n AMORY – Mission Mississippi is a movement to break down racial barriers through the establishment of Christian relationships. Weekly prayer fellowship is held from 8-9 a.m. each Saturday morning and at 6 p.m. on the fifth Sunday. If a church would like to host the prayer hour one week, or for more information, contact Curtis French at 256-1578 or Pat Chaney at 256-4793. All are invited to attend.

soup kitchen Thursdays
n AMORY – First United Methodist Church offers a soup kitchen in the church gym at 11:45 a.m. each Thursday for anyone who wishes to eat. All are welcome.
Free luncheon
n ABERDEEN – The Open Door Church of God, located a 711 South Thayer Avenue, will hold a free community luncheon every Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
New Prospect plans VBS
n NETTLETON – New Prospect M.B. Church will have vacation Bible school May 27-29 from 6:30-8 p.m. All area churches and youth are invited.
Youth Explosion May 30
n ABERDEEN – The Youth Department at Crossroad MB Church is hosting a Youth Explosion on Saturday, May 30, at the Aberdeen Park and Recreation Sports Complex. Registration is from 10-11 a.m. with devotion from 11-11:30, followed by performances, basketball and games until 3 p.m., when a softball game will be held. Vacation Bible School
n OKOLONA – Zion Spring M.B. Church of Okolona will have Vacation Bible School May 31-June 4 The May 31 service will be at 5 p.m., with June 1-4 at 6 p.m. A closing service will be June 6 at 10 a.m. Pastor Nollen Elzie Sr. invites local children to participate.

n UNA – The 3rd Annual Una Community Funfest will kick off on Friday, June 5, at 6 p.m. with special appearances by Aires of Joy, Christian Faith Male Choir, Converted Voices, Determined, Spiritual Messengers, and Voices of Joy. Bring lawn chairs.

n OKOLONA – Zion Spring M.B. Church will recognize graduates on June 7 during the 9:15 a.m. Sunday worship service.
Center Hill hosts Homecoming
n HAMILTON – The 82nd annual Memorial-Decoration-Homecoming Service of Center Hill Baptist Church in Hamilton will be Sunday, June 7, with Sunday school at 9 a.m. and worship at 10 a.m. Guest speaker will be Bro. Ronnie Mitchell. A covered-dish meal will follow the service. There will be no evening service. The public is invited.
