Funding for foundation repairs at arena approved

CORINTH – The Corinth board in a special meeting Friday approved using funds from the bond retirement account for the Crossroads Arena for facility repairs.
The city joins the Alcorn County Board of Supervisors in agreeing to use money from that capital account for a permanent solution to foundation problems at the jointly-owned arena.
The city board added a provision that would require engineer Ricky Newcomb to make follow-up inspections at six-month intervals to “protect the investment” in the repair work.
