A fundraiser is being held to benefit the family of Union County Sheriff’s Deputy Clinton Frazier, who was killed in a one-car accident Dec. 18.
The Police Benevolent Foundation, Inc. and the Northeast Chapter of the Mississippi Police Benevolent Association, Inc. will host the fundraiser Saturday at the New Albany Walmart, from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. The Walmart is located at 202 Park Plaza Dr.
The MSPBA encourages all local citizens to come make a donation to aid Frazier’s family. All proceeds will go to the “Deputy Clinton Frazier Memorial Fund,” which has been set up through the Police Benevolent Foundation at Regions Bank.
Frazier was killed when his patrol car crashed on Highway 178 in Myrtle around 9 p.m. on Dec. 18. Crystil M. Byers was arrested in connection to the wreck and charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving a fatality and culpable negligent manslaughter.
