Gale Stauffer, the Tupelo Police Department officer killed Monday following a bank robbery and shooting, will be buried Friday.
He was 38.
A service celebrating his life will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church in Tupelo.
Visitation will be at the church’s gathering room on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Burial, with military and law enforcement honors, will follow the service at Tupelo Memorial Park.
A candlelight vigil will be held at Fairpark Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the Christmas tree in front of City Hall.
Holland Funeral Directors Tupelo Chapel is charge of the arrangements.
