Felony Arrests

The following people were arrested on felony charges during a 24-hour period ending at 5 p.m. Monday.

Lee County-Tupelo Adult Jail

- Darrell Poteet, 45, of Sulpher, Okla., is charged by the Tupelo Police Department with possession of precursors. Bond has not been set.

- Jeffrey Dodd, 27, of Verona, is charged by the TPD with possession of precursors. Bond has not been set.

- Olyn Hill, 44, of Tupelo, is charged by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics with possession of precursors. Bond has not been set.

Verona City Jail

- No felony arrests were reported.

Lee County Sheriff

- A County Road 1009 resident reported the theft of a go-cart from his carport.

- Towery Furniture at Skyline reported a gunshot hole in the front window.

- A Guntown resident reported her estranged husband damaged her front lawn by spinning his truck wheels on it.

- Kirby’s BP No. 2 on County Road 931 reported a gas-drive.

- Limerock Hill BP on Palmetto Road reported a gas drive-off.

- An Elvis Presley Drive resident reported a break-in and the theft of a CD changer, a DVD player, 20 CDs, two gold necklaces and a silver necklace.

- A County Road 1498 resident reported domestic violence.

- A State Park Road resident reported the theft of a four-wheeler.

- A Highway 371 South resident reported hearing gunshots and finding a bullet hole in his mother’s mobile home.

Miscellaneous

Offices at Northeast Mississippi Community College will be closed for the Christmas holidays from Wednesday, Dec. 19, through Wednesday, Jan. 2.

Registration for the 2002 spring semester day and evening classes will be held Jan. 2, 3, 7 and 8. Classes will begin Jan. 9.
