Gilmore’s Blaylock accepts new position

By NEMS Daily Journal

AMORY – Gilmore Regional Medical Center’s chief executive, Dwayne Blaylock, has been tapped to lead River Oaks Hospital in Flowood.
Both hospitals are part of the Health Management Associates system, and Blaylock will transition from one hospital to the other on May 13.
Blaylock, who has led the Amory hospital for the past five years, said he’s proud of the growth at the hospital, including the opening of the women’s center, adding urology and pulmonology specialists and the investment in robot-assisted surgery. The HMA system has not yet named a successor for Blaylock in Amory.
