CORINTH – Law enforcement officers were looking Monday for a man who made off with an undisclosed amount of money after holding up a pizza place in Corinth Sunday night.

About 10:17 p.m. Sunday, a man wearing black toboggan-style headwear with red trim entered the back door of Little Caesar’s Pizza located in Harper Square Mall on U.S. Highway 72 and displayed a large weapon. After getting the money, the man retreated out the back door.

The back door was unlocked, said Corinth Police Chief Fred Johnson, which is an unusual practice at the restaurant. At the time of the robbery, there were two employees in the restaurant, neither of whom was injured, Johnson said.

The suspect is described as a 5 foot 6 inch medium complexioned white male probably in his 20s. He has light eyebrows and dark eyes. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black jogging suit.

Corinth police are asking anyone with any information on this man or the robbery to call 286-3377.
