There will be two puppet shows on poison safety at the Lee County Library on March 21.
The puppet shows, sponsored by the North Mississippi Medical Center’s Pharmacy Department, will begin at 10 a.m. and 10:35 a.m. Officer Ugg and his friends will help children to understand the importance of poison safety. The week of March 17-23 is National Poison Prevention Week. During this week, the pharmacy staff will have a display up in the library with safety tips.
The special storytime will be open to the public and is free. Parents, preschoolers and day-care directors and participants are encouraged to attend. Due to the expected turnout, day cares are encouraged to call ahead to reserve space.
For more information about the program, call the Lee County Library at 841-9013.
