TUPELO – Goodlett Manor, a 7,000-square-foot Tudor Revival-style mansion, will be open to the public for free tours from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The 100-plus-year-old home, formerly known as the Goodlett House, is located at 219 N. Broadway St., across the street from the Lee County Courthouse, in downtown Tupelo.
A group of investors purchased the three-story home about four years ago and is almost through with renovations and restoration. Goodlett Manor now will be used as an event site for parties, banquets, weddings and receptions.
Be sure to check out a life-sized lawn chess board, the secret garden and a “hidden” room. Light refreshments will be served.
