TUPELO – Gov. Phil Bryant visited Tupelo today to survey damage, visited at a church and held a news conference before heading to south to Louisville to survey tornado damage there.
He said the state having 12 tornadoes Monday reminds him of Hurricane Katrina damage to the state in 2005
“This will be a prolonged effort,” Bryant said of the recovery. “This will not be just days or weeks. This will take months to get this over with.”
