CORINTH – Hundreds of job applicants who have attended the annual Governor’s Job Fair in Corinth during the past several years have walked away with job offers the same day.

Many more job-seekers who attend the event on Tuesday will have a similar experience, while others who submit resumes, interview or file applications with area employers will be paving the way to a satisfying new job.

Employers at last year’s fair included Caterpillar, Acco Brands, Ashley Furniture and Roll Form Group, offering manufacturing jobs in industries as varied as heavy equipment manufacturing to office products, furniture making and steel fabrication.

The free job fair usually has about 50 employers looking for employees.

The WIN Job Center urges applicants to come prepared.

• Bring a positive attitude.

• Dress as you would for an interview.

• Make child care arrangements for your children before the job fair.

• Bring your resume.

• Be there when the doors open at 9 a.m.

Additional help is available at the WIN Job Center on South Harper Road in Corinth in the Northeast Mississippi Community College Larry McCollum Center, (662) 696-2336.
