GRANT TO BE USED FOR MUW LEARNING PROGRAM
COLUMBUS – A $70,000 grant to the Mississippi University for Women will pay for computers and equipment for distance learning at the school’s Columbus and Tupelo campuses.
The university’s Division of Nursing received the grant from the Helene Fuld Health Trust, a New York-based foundation that supports nursing education, according to the university.
The trust awarded the university a $20,000 grant three years ago.
The university will use the money to purchase computers and software programs, a laser printer, CD-ROM software and interactive video discs for distance education. The Tupelo campus also will upgrade its library holdings.
