STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) — Eric Gregory has pleaded guilty to a charge of accessory after the fact involving a 2008 fatal accident that killed two and seriously injured another person.
The Starkville Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/uHlpx8) that Gregory’s sentencing is pending. He entered the plea Monday in circuit court.
Prosecutors say Gregory assisted Ryan Crick, a former Mississippi wildlife officer, leave the scene of the accident on an Oktibbeha County road.
Killed in the accident were Matthew Gaskin of Aberdeen and Jessica Burks of Starkville. Heather Kay McMillian of Maben was injured.
Prosecutors say Crick was driving a Jeep that belonged to Gregory and was intoxicated at the time of the accident.
Crick pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated DUI in 2009 and was sentenced to 60 years in prison.
