TUPELO – The Tupelo School District passed a policy that will allow guardians to apply online for free and reduced-price school meals. The policy was approved at Tuesday’s regular school board meeting.
It will let guardians fill out the application at www.tupeloschools.com and to electronically sign the document. The goal was to reduce the stigma of having to apply in person.
The free and reduced-price meals program is a federal program designed to help low-income families.
