Guntown man charged with filing false report

Crime StockGUNTOWN – A Guntown man was arrested around noon Wednesday for allegedly filing a false report with police.

According to Guntown Police Chief Michael Hall, around 11:30 a.m., police received a call to Mitchell’s grocery store on Highway 145 where a man reported two black men broke in a back door, robbed and assaulted him.

After an investigation, Hall said they determined Charles Roberts filed a false report and charged him with that. They also charged him abusing 911 and other charges.

Saltillo, Baldwyn and the sheriff’s department responded to the call.
