Hardee’s robbed at gunpoint

TUPELO – Police are searching for the man who robbed Hardee’s last night.

Witnesses told Tupelo investigators a black man around 5 feet, 8 inches tall robbed the West Main Street restaurant at about 10:15 p.m.. He was armed with a handgun.

No one was injured, and the suspect fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

Assistant Police Chief Alan Gilbert said the suspect may have continued in a car shortly after fleeing on foot.
