HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL 2009: Move it, move it

These boots are made for … running? Brandon Rogers, 15, hustles through agililty drills in boots that he uses for training not only in football, but also in cross country, Rogers, a ninth-grader, was taking part in the Union County Schools first-ever football practice Monday night. East Union, Ingomar, Myrtle and West Union schools joined together to start a co-op football program of seventh-,eight-, and ninth-graders this season. Its first game isn’t until Sept. 15 against Wheeler, but across Northeast Mississippi, the high school season kicks off tonight.
