TUPELO – Increased motorist traffic this Fourth of July holiday will be met with increased Mississippi Highway Patrol presence.
The highway patrol’s saturation enforcement began Wednesday night and will continue until midnight Sunday.
Trooper Jason Roe, public relations officer for Highway Patrol Troop F, said troopers will be working overtime this week to provide increased coverage, saturation details and driver’s license checkpoints.
“Go out and have fun and enjoy the holiday but be responsible for the choices you make,” Roe said. “There are consequences and they could affect others if you get into a wreck.”
