Holleman to spend sentence in Alabama

By NEMS Daily Journal

TUPELO – Former developer Jack Holleman was ordered to report to an Alabama prison to serve a 12-month sentence for tax evasion.
In May, Holleman, 61, of Tupelo admitted his part in a scheme to avoid paying six years of federal taxes.
Tuesday, the U.S. District Court in Oxford informed Holleman to report to the Montgomery Federal Prison Camp by 2 p.m. Oct. 31.
Judge W. Allen Pepper Jr. also ordered Holleman to pay $260,447 to the government.
His co-defendant, West Point CPA Gary Hamilton, was found guilty in a trial but has yet to have his prison designated by the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.
