COLUMBUS — A judge says he’ll wait to see how jury selection goes before deciding whether to move the trial of Brian Holliman away from Lowndes County.
Jury selection is scheduled for Nov. 30 before Circuit Judge Lee Howard. Howard says the questioning of prospective jurors will help him determine if Holliman can get a fair trial.
Brian Holliman is charged with the 2008 shooting death of his wife, Laura Holliman, at their Caledonia home. Holliman has pleaded not guilty and remains free on bond.
The change of venue request — filed by Holliman’s attorney in August — contends intense media coverage in the area has tainted the jury pool.
