Holly Springs man sentenced to 10 years in prison

ABERDEEN – Jeremy Young of Holly Springs was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in prison on federal drug and gun charges.
Young, 23, was indicted in March 2010 on four counts that he distributed crack cocaine and possessed a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.
He pleaded guilty to two counts Sept. 2, 2010, and the other charges were dismissed.
Young faced up to life in prison and up to a $1 million fine on the original charges.
After his release, Young will be on supervised release for five years and barred from any federal benefits for 10 years.
