Holly Springs police make arrest in alleged murder

HOLLY SPRINGS – A suspect was arrested Friday in connection with the Sunday morning death of Demarcus Nevels in Holly Springs.
Sheriff Kenny Dickerson and Holly Springs Police Chief James Dean said a man was arrested Friday afternoon.
According to police, the suspect is arrested but was not yet charged on Friday night. More information could be released today.
Nevels, 35, of Holly Springs, was found shot in his car around 2 a.m. Sunday in a parking lot on Martin Luther King Drive, according to The South Reporter. His vehicle and himself had multiple gunshots and he died on the scene.
